Here is what im looking to do but im not sure on how to do it, much less if
it can be done without going out and buying a commercial version of VPN to
make it work. I would like to setup a VPN to a few different offices. All
of which DO NOT have Linux, and a few even have Microsoft Servers.

While at the Offices:
What i would basicaly like to see is that once a person clicks on network
neighborhood on there computer they see the different domains, of which some
are located on the VPN. Then the person would click on the domain and
because of the trust that i have setup in NT they would be able to access
the resources.

People outside the offices traveling for example:
Most of which are running Microsoft OS's. Would like to see them login to
the internet and then click on the VPN and there you. They would have
access to the offices that are running the VPN software.

My problems-
I know linux can be setup to run a VPN. And from the how-to i have read
it appears to be fairly simple. I have been told though that you can not
connect to a VPN that is setup in Linux with a Windows machine. Actualy i
was told you could do it but there is not a form of encryption to hadle both
OS's.

Summary-
So i guess what im looking to figure out is how do I setup a LINUX based
server as my VPN server, and all the clients are going to be Windows based.
My remote offices will probably have a Linux Server running the VPN (We have
several Pentium 90's that would do the job fairly easily) and they will
forward the Windows based traffic out the VPN connections.

Anyone have any ideas??? Can this be done, and can it be done securely?

Thanks,
Tom
