There are two workarounds for this.
1) Put the full domain username into the chap-secret file...
I.E.
domain2\\username * password *
then "force" the username by adding
name domain2\\username
in the /etc/ppp/options.xxx file
2) Apply the "strip the domain name" patch to ppp.
Either way, I doubt you'll be able to browse the remote domain.

|Subject: [pptp-server] Connecting to another Windows Domain
|
|
|Anyone familiar with how to connect to another domain within
|windows?
|
|I have a PoPToP server running on one windows domain that works
|great.
|
|I have a user on another domain that wants to make a virtual
|connection to our domain. We tried using domain2\\username but
|the vpn code just added domain1 to the front of it. In the logs it
|says domain1\\domain2\\username.
|
|Am I using the slashes in the wrong way? Any other ideas? I am
|going to try and use the Connection Manager next.
