[pptp-server] Error 742

I have installed pppd version 2.3.8, with the patches for encrypted
connections. I have also uninstalled VPN support from Win98, re-installed
and then run DUN40.EXE. But when I try to connect, I get error 742: The
computer you are dialling in to does not support the data encryption
requirements specified.

Any idea what I am missing? Connections with no encryption work fine.
