[pptp-server] localip,remoteip and netmasks

Hi,

In my pptpd.conf, I have localip and remoteip ranges specified from the
local network which is a /25. FWIW, the pptp server also has an ethernet
interface in this /25. These addresses fall in the range of traditional
C-class addresses.

However, when a user connects via pptp (from a Win98 box), they are
assigned an ip with a /24 netmask. "man pptpd.conf" makes no mention of
netmasks :-(

The obvious suggestion is that something is taking a classful view of
netmasks (but what?).

Any idea of the solution to this?

Thanks,
Neale.
