Only dead software does not need updating. Neither
Win95 nor Win98 "right out of the box" will work
reliably and securely with PPTP. In fact, PPTP was
not a "standard feature" before Windows 98 SE
(Second Edition) last Summer. If you update to
98SE you'll have a happier exerience with many
things. Suggest you read:
