[pptp-server] Verifying encryption depth?

How can you tell that a particular client (Windows or pptp) is going 
to use 40bit, 128bit, or whatever type of connection?

I am sure that I can force it to only accept 128bit type connections 
but then it would be trial and error on the client side.  Maybe I'm 
missing something simple.

Anyone have good ideas on how to figure this out?
