[pptp-server] ppp-mppe module not compiling...?

Did you not download:
ppp-2.3.10-openssl-norc4-mppe.patch
SSLeay-0.9.0b.tar.gz  ?

then follow the steps to compile the patch into ppp?

Reason I ask is that I may be having a similar issue. Where I get the
  modprobe: can't locate module ppp-compress-18
message in my syslog (reapeating).

I can't seem to get the module ppp_mppe installed correctly.  If this is a 
similar problem I maybe be able to help (especially if I figure this out).
