Hi,

Also being new to pptp, I had the same problem a few days ago.  The
problem is on the client end.  You must apply the vpn update, available
from microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/default.asp, or
http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloads/corporate.asp
