Yes, this certainly is the right and definitive solution (didn't look at
the firewall rules, I'm speaking about the idea).

However, since netbios (what we needed) is often so problematic and we
use dhcp and dynamic dns, it was easier for us to change the dhcp server
config to use a new subnet.
