Justin,

We got the MSCHAP problem resolved by removing all ppp files installed by
"make install" and starting over with new ppp source.

We are having a new problem now. W98 connects at 128bit ecnryption as long
as mppe-40 is listed in ppp/options, and can ping across the VPN. However,
it can not browse network. W2k currently can not connect at all (with or
without mppe-40 rem'd), and leaves this in /var/log/messages:

GRE: read(fd=4,buffer=804da20,len=8196) from PTY failed: status = -1 error =
Input/output error
CTRL: PTY read or GRE write failed (pty,gre)=(4,5)
CTRL: Client 24.94.107.28 control connection finished

All help is welcome :) Thanks again,

Doug
