George-
I appriciate your assistence. You had mentioned checking my set-up last week.
At the time it wasn't in a state to do this. I now have a test gateway up
and running. It accepts non-encrypted pptp session, but It fails the
encrypted sessions. I have decided to live with no encryption and am working
through my firewall issues now. Hope to addd freeswan next.
I have set up a chap-secret for you:

Let me know if you need more access for testing. I hope to build 3 of these
machines, each as fireway/gateway/poptop/freeswan machines, but seem to be
sumbling more than I would have hoped.
