[pptp-server] problems getting basic pptp to work with win2k

Sage:
I think win2k does 40 bit out of the box, you may have to add just the mppe-40
line back in (or hack the reg?) in order to get it to connect.
You could try removing:
ipcp-accept-local
ipcp-accept-remote
