I just have a crossover cable between the two systems. Does computer names
have anything to do with making the tunnel. I didn't think so, so I am not
sure why I am getting this error. Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Are you sure that there are no other machines on the network with that
computer name?

Subject: [pptp-server] Duplicate name error
Hello list. Hopefully someone can help me with my problem. I am trying to
setup pptp on a Redhat 7.2 box. The user gets authenticated with CHAP but
then there is an error on the client end and then the client can no longer
connect to the pptp server. The error is:
A duplicate name exists on the network.
TCP/IP CP: reported error 52
If anyone has any ideas it would be a lifesaver.
Thanks
