[pptp-server] Logging shows up on the console

Hello all, 
  I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced 
the following. I'm running redhat with a 2.4.15 
kernel with the VPN masq patches installed. When 
ever a VPN session is initiated the console 
fills up with the gre traffic messages of the 
session. I tried to change this via syslog.conf 
to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?
