It's not actually useful for two reasons, one the -s option to gcc is
causing the executable to be stripped (no debugging symbols) and two
you can't invoke pptpctrl directly without options, that's causing the
segfault.  I'll fix the buglet in pptpctrl (make it print an error
message) but that won't find your actual problem.
