Hello all, I have a linux box running pptp using chap authentication & works like a charm. My question is : Are passwords sent in clear text? Do I need to upgrade to Microsoft MSCHAPv2/MPPE authentication in order to get 40 bit encryption? What are the benefits if any of MS authentication besides the encryption? Thanks in advance.
