[pptp-server] wrong interface?

I'm able to make a pptp connection to the pptp server.
However, when the client tries to log onto the network,
it sends the samba server the IP address of the NIC
instead of the IP address of the pptp connection.
My samba server is setup to serve only the IP address
on the pptp connection.  How do I make Win98 use the
pptp interface instead of the NIC interface?  Thanks
