[pptp-server] problems with linksys etherfast cable/dsl route r

I've also noticed this problem with a netopia router. It doesnt authenticate
at all. The syslog says it gave some Input/Output Error.

I've however havent had a problem with my software firewall (WinRoute Pro)
at all. The Documentation for WinRoute says I dont need to do anything at
all.

I'm trying to get a pc connected to a linksys to talk to my pptp server.
If I connect directly to the cable modem all works well, add in the
linksys and no go.

linksys is running firmware 1.35.

I would appreciate any help you can give.
