Not sure why you would want to do this.  Why run an ipsec tunnel through a
pptp tunnel?  Why not just use an ipsec or pptp tunnel?

Yes they can co-exist.  I'm using both on the three Linux gateways I
maintain.

I believe this is because the 2.2.19 kernel contains native pptp masq
support.  I could be wrong on this.  Curious though, why not use a 2.4.x
kernel?  The 2.4.x kernels I know provide native pptp masq support.
