OK so the client is Linux..
then try ipcp-accept-remote in your options file..

Thank you gentlemen for your informative replies i appreciate it so much,
actually am not running the pptpd server, i am connecting to the
speedcast.com pptp server which is based on WinNT my local ip address is
202.72.78.187 when i tried to connect to the pptp server (NT based) i got
the same error as what i have shown in the previous message.
