[pptp-server] Someone using pppd.2.4.x with MPPE patch sucessfully?

	HEllo,

I have to move to kernel 2.4 for being able to use FreeS/WAN, but
I can not figure out how to make pppd.2.4.1 working for my old pptp link
to vpn.galileo.com. I constantly get LCP ProtRej messages and nothing goes
trough the line. Apparently I send junk to the other end, but why?

The same link works fine with pppd.2.3.11 with kernel 2.2.13, but
if I start pppd.2.4.1 there is only LCP ProtRej messages coming back. I
tried pppd.2.4.1 with kernels 2.2.13 and 2.4.6, same result. pppd.2.3.11
won't work on 2.4 kernels. I should mention that I tried same
configuration files when starting one or the other pppd, and after I tried
every imaginable option for pppd.2.4.1, the result is same.

The problem is apparently in the pppd.2.4.1 program as
pppd.2.3.13 makes the connection OK under kernel 2.2.13, but pppd.2.4.1
fails. Except that I have no idea already what's wrong and how to correct
it.

	I did apply ppp-2.4.1-openssl-0.9.6-mppe-patch.gz and
ppp-2.4.1-MSCHAPv2-fix.patch.gz to pppd.2.4.1 and got some warnings durng
compilation, may that be the problem?

Will greatly appreciate any ideas of how to spot the problem,

	George.
