[pptp-server] Security?

I know this is probably a FAQ, but how secure is pptp?    Does it use
encryption of some sort? (3 DES, Blowfish, etc..)     I would like to start
using pptpd because it works extremely well but would like a little peace of
mind that the data stream is not open to prying eyes.
