Udaman! This worked great. I really appreciate the help. Now all I have to
do is figure out how to get the encryption started and I'll be in business.
Everything works fine as long as I don't try and force encryption from my 98
client.

I'm not sure if this list accepts attachments, but I figured I'd try since
this is < 500bytes. Here's the patch I made to use in a RPM for
ppp-2.3.10+mppe.. please let me know if it works for you. (It is based
on the other patch.)
